OUR FOOTBALL HERITAGE: KEEPING THE TRADITION ALIVE
“The purpose of the AFL Combined Past Players and Officials Association Incorporated is in helping to sponsor, strengthen and maintain our proud Australian Rules Football heritage”.
We are an independent group providing a meaningful service in supporting each of the member Associations’ efforts in holding their Associations together. Our participating Associations provide a valuable service and their members reap the benefits of membership.
We enjoy strong bonds and mutually supportive relationships with our AFL clubs and we have a positive approach to supporting our respective teams. We are fully supportive of the wider community and we enjoy a strong profile and image.
Our Association provides a home and sense of belonging in a spirit of camaraderie for our members. Our inclusive mateship is offered and continued through relevant and enjoyable social and sporting functions. We also positively respond to our role and responsibility in providing acts of benevolence from time to time.
We enjoy wide community recognition, respect and acknowledgment and are proud to be members of the AFL Combined Past Players and Officials Association Incorporated.

The AFL Combined Past Players and Officials Association provides a number of important benefits to all our members.
- Access to social functions held for members of affiliated past player and officials’ associations. These functions provide the opportunity to catch up with former teammates and past players and officials from other clubs
- The opportunity to participate in sporting events organised by the CPPOA such as golf and bowls days
- Access to functions at MCG and Marvel Stadium matches specifically held for members of affiliated past player and officials’ associations
- Eligibility to become a member of the AFLPA Alumni and gain access to its associated benefits (this is available to past players who have played one or more senior VFL/AFL game).
